JOHN Farrell, from Warrington, has won this year’s Avon Tyres Forumula Ford Northern Division Pre 90 
Championship driving a UCLAN Racing Reynard FF89 1600cc.
The Warrington driver, carrying the Glyngary Sash Windows colours, was leading his main riva, Lee Hannam, of Northwich, by just one point with two rounds to go at Oulton Park but managed to pull 13 points clear before the final round at the Anglesey Circuit in North Wales where he took the Championship.
He also took the honour of being crowned Oulton Park’s Champion of the Season
It was only John’s third season in the Championship and during the season he had five pole positions, winning six races and five second places.
