A DYNAMIC multi-media road show revealing how the modern British Army saves lives around the world comes to Warrington today.
The Army Presentation Team (APT) will be at the De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel as part of a regional tour.
The APT aims to inform local audiences about exactly what the Army does, including roles such as providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief in the wake of a natural disaster, fighting terrorists and protecting UK citizens at home and abroad.
It provides a platform for the Army’s front-line men and women to talk directly to people across the country. Ordinary soldiers tell their stories while the Chief of the General Staff, General Sir David Richards, introduces the presentation, with a video message to the audience.
The team travels the length of the country each year with a mission to explain how taxpayers’ money is spent and what return the public can expect from its investment.
The formal presentation, which begins at 6.30pm, will be followed by a lively question and answer session in which the team tackles often challenging questions posed by the invited audience.
