WARRINGTON Town’s Argentine stopper Diego Bassanini has officially got the safest hands in the league after being honoured with a top award.
He was named as winner of the April Safe Hands Goalkeeper Award after keeping two clean sheets in the final games of the season and having an impressive goals-per-game ratio.
Diego will now receive a pair of top of the range Macron Goalkeeping gloves for his efforts.
Paul Musselwhite from Gateshead and Tom Morgan from Harrogate Railway Athletic were also named as winners with Diego.
Meanwhile, Town’s reserves are preparing for their President’s Cup Final against Witton Albion reserves on Saturday.
Kick-off is 2.30pm at Trafford FC.
