Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

IS there light at the end of the tunnel?  Does a recent appeal decision offer some hope for those who would like to see Warrington town centre radically changed to become more family friendly?

Spending plans make gloomy reading

WARRINGTON Borough Council's spending plans for the period up to 2013 make gloomy reading. After years of cutbacks we are to expect more cutbacks. One wonders how long it can go on.

Has town been harshly judged?

THE 83 per cent of Warrington people who, as part of a survey,  recently said they were happy living in the borough, could be forgiven for wondering perhaps they were too easy to please.

I fear troubled times ahead at Warrington Borough Council in the wake of the ongoing restructuring process which has seen a number of senior officers departing and many staff still fearing for their futures regarding job security and pay.

THE fact that the fate of one of Warrington's most historic buildings still hangs in the balance is almost criminal.

DOES Culcheth, or other parishes within Warrington, need a parish plan?

No parking for the public

WARRINGTON Borough Council has, possibly unwittingly, taken a decision which will further discourage members of the public from attending their meetings.
