CHESHIRE Police are holding a week-long campaign to raise awareness of stalking.
Stalking became a criminal offence in England and Wales in November 2012, and tomorrow, Thursday (April 18), is National Stalking Awareness Day.
During Stalking Awareness week, the Police will be sharing a victim’s account of what she went through as well as publicising helpful information about what you should do if you think you or some else is being stalked or harassed.
John Dwyer, Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, said: “I think the work that the Constabulary are doing is excellent. Being a victim of stalking and harassment, can be an unpleasant and worrying time in anybody’s life.
I praise the work the Constabulary are doing and hope that it encourages more people to come forward and report this type of behaviour.”
