CHILDREN at the Bright Horizons day nursery at Callands, Warrington became “little astronomers” as they celebrated the Solar Eclipse.
Using coloured plates they demonstrated how the moon moves in front of the sun – and then created their own eclipses using paper suns and shadows.
The youngsters loved experimenting with the shadows and seeing how the sun could “disappear” just like in a real eclipse.
A spokesperson for the nursery said: “It was a wonderful hands-on activity that combined creativity, exploration and science learning.”
