AN injured rugby player was airlifted to hospital resulting in a match at Warrington being abandoned after only five minutes.
The match between Latchford Albion and Oldham St Annes A was abandonedwhen Latchford centre Spencer Kirkby suffered a serious injury which resulted in the Air Ambulance attending.
Spencer was then transferred to hospital where it was confirmed he had suffered a broken and dislocated ankle.
The game will be rearranged for later in the season.
Latchford have no fixture this coming weekend before an away visit to Clock Face Miners A on August 22..
