GRAPPENHALL lost by 83 runs when they hosted North East Cheshire – largely as a result of the efforts of one man.
The visitors’ opening batsman hit a superb 128 from 145 balls including 12 fours and four sixes as they batted first and totalled 232-7.
A Perry took 3-37 for Grappenhall.
But when it came to batting, only T Brimelow, 33 and A Pennington, 27 offered much resistance and Grappers were bowled out for a disappointing 140 in 40 overs.
Grappenhall 2nd won by five wickets at Ashton on Mersey after holding the home side to 197-6.
Zach Tully, with 3-29, was the pick of the bowlers and then went on to shine with the bat, hitting a fine 84 as Grappers cruised to victory on 199-5.
Opener Zach Judge contributed a useful 33.
Grappenhall 3rd lost by 133 runs at home to Didsbury
The visitors batted first and hit 222-8 with E Tully, 3-43, the pick of the bowlers. Grappers were bowled out for 89.
Warrington lost by six wickets at Winnington Park after being bowled out for 126. Skipper Harley Barrett’s fighting 26 in 90 minutes was the top score. Asley Scholes took 2-18 when the home side batted but they reached their target with time to spare
Warrington 2nd won by three wickets, hosting Oakmere. who were held to 179-9, Chai Gadepalli taking 4-35. Hassan Bukhari top-scored with 60 as Warrington claimed the game with 180-7.
Warrington 3rd won by 100 runs hosting Woodford. Amritpal Saini hammered an unbeaten 131 as Warrington batted first and reached 237-9. The visitors were bowled out for 137, with Rubin Sam taking 4-39.
Warrington 4 were beaten by eight wickets by Oakmere after being bowled out for 82
Lymm Oughtrington Park went down by four wickets at Weaverham after getting off to a disastrous start with three batters back in the pavilion and only one run on the board.
The eventual all-out score of 174 represented something of a recovery but it was not enough.
A Brown was top scorer with a well-struck 47.
Antoneli Atwell took 3-30 when Weaverham batted and hit 175-6 to claim victory.
Lymm 2nd won by 63 runs at Chester Boughton Hall and Lymm 3rd won the derby match with Appleton by eight runs.
Appleton 1st won by five wickets at Offerton after bowling out the home side for 142, Aswin Gopi taking 5-20. Appleton galloped to victory in 28 overs, Josh Hill hitting 56.
Appleton 2nd went down by five wickets hosting Port Sunlight. Oliver Cross hit 40 and Luke Ranns 34 as Appleton hit 144-6 The visitors replied with 148-5.
Appleton 4th lost by 179 runs at Burrton after the Wirral side had posted a challenging 285-4. Appleton could only muster 106, with Martin Othick, 21, top scorer.
Glazebury notched up an impressive six wicket victory at Cholmondeley after dismissing the home side for 151. Ben Marote took 4-10.
Harry Barnes hit 79 when Glazebury replied and Marote followed up his bowling with a well-struck 40.
Glazebury 2nd lost heavily at Bowdon Vale where the home side hit 257-7 and Glazebury could only muster 101 in reply.
