A fundraising page set up to support men’s mental health and the family of a Warrington teenage boy who tragically died earlier this week has raised over £20,000 since being set up two days ago.

It follows the death of 17-year-old Will Ogden near the tracks at Sankey for Penketh Railway Station on Tuesday, night.
There was a minute’s applause in the 17th minute of last night’s rugby match between Warrington and Wigan. It is understood the youngster had been a member of the club’s Academy.

The page has been set up by Isaac Glover, who described Will as his “best friend.
On the page he wrote: “My name is Isaac, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart after the devastating loss of my best friend, Will, who sadly took his own life on 21st April 2026.
“Will was an incredible person, kind, funny, and deeply loved by everyone who knew him. His loss has left a huge hole in so many lives, especially for his family, who are now facing unimaginable grief, as well as the financial burden of funeral costs.
“I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help support Will’s family and men’s mental health during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be so greatly appreciated.
“If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can offer. Let’s come together in Will’s name and stand up for men’s mental health and stand by his family when they need it most.”

Donations have flooded in and now exceed £20,000, including two £500 donations from Luke Littler.
