A TEAM from Redrow has successfully completed the iconic Three Peaks Challenge to raise much-needed funds for a children’s hospice.
Six members of Daresbury-based Redrow NW took part in the National Three Peaks Challenge – regarded as one of the UK’s most demanding endurance challenges.
Land negotiator Will Staton, site manager Megan Woodburn, customer service technician Brian Rowan, senior design engineer Rebecca Wood, engineer Jordan Farrell and senior design engineer Adam Styler; took on the challenge to raise funds for the division’s chosen charity – Claire House Children’s Hospice.
Together the group climbed the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Covering around 23 miles on foot, more than 3,000 metres of ascent and hundreds of miles of road travel.
Will, who has taken on the National Three Peaks twice and the Yorkshire Three Peaks with other colleagues at Redrow NW said: “Completing the Three Peaks Challenge was a fantastic achievement for the team. As the only person in the group to have completed the challenge before, it was fantastic to see everyone else take on the Three Peaks for the first time and reach all three summits.
“It was a real test of determination, teamwork and resilience. The support everyone showed one another throughout the journey was incredible. Big thanks to our drivers Chris Hayton and Claire Sweetman, we couldn’t have done it without them. Knowing that we also raised funds for such a worthy cause made reaching the final summit even more rewarding.”

Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children and has two sites, one on the Wirral and the other in Liverpool. The specialist team provides day-care, complementary therapies, clinics, counselling and play and music sessions.
