A gymnastics coach in Warrington has been charged with sexual offences as part of an investigation by Cheshire Constabulary’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team.
71-year-old Paul Plumpton was arrested on Tuesday 8 September and has since been charged with three counts of making indecent images of children, two counts of distributing indecent images of children, and one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Plumpton appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 September, where he was bailed to next appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 7 October.
