A shoplifter who was caught by police after a foot chase through Warrington Bus Station has received an immediate custodial sentence after appearing in court.
On Tuesday afternoon, a Town Centre Beat officer in Golden Square in plain clothes witnessed a retail theft from Superdrug.
They gave chase and detained the offender as he tried to exit the Bus Station. The male offender was arrested. He was found in possession of goods to the value of £130.
He was later charged and remanded.
On Wednesday morning, Damian Wisedale of No Fixed Abode appeared at Chester Magistrates Court. He was sentenced to an immediate custodial sentence.
