WARRINGTON South MP Andy Carter is encouraging residents to have a say on the future of the Fiddler’s Ferry Power Station site during a public consultation.
With demolition ongoing, Fiddler’s Ferry is one of the largest brownfield sites in the region which is earmarked in the Warrington Local Plan for employment and residential use.
Mr Carter said: “I’d really encourage local residents to visit the exhibition and look at the proposals carefully before submitting their views.
“I’m keen to make sure we have a good supply of affordable housing and the right infrastructure including school places and roads to address congestion. The Borough Council are right to ensure we have homes and jobs for future generations. But it’s important we get the right mix in the right places.”

The employment element of the Fiddler’s Ferry site will provide space to support 6,750 new jobs in a variety of roles.
The consultation started on Monday of this week and will run to Sunday 11th February including an an in-person exhibition on Tuesday 30th January 2024 between 2 PM – 5.45 PM at Penketh Parish Council, The Community Room, Honiton Way, Penketh.
