Road closures in place for popular Lymm Duck Race

A number of road closures will be in place for the annual Lymm Duck Race which takes place this coming Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

The event organised by the local Lymm Roundtable helps raise thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Road closures will be in place from early Monday morning as organisers prepare for the event which attracts thousands of people into the village centre prior to the event which takes place on the Lower Dam.

LYMM DUCK RACE – MONDAY 10TH APRIL 2023
Warrington Borough Council has put in place the following road closures between the hours of 6:30 am and 5:00 pm on Monday 10th April 2023 as follows: –

A6144 The Cross – Pepper Street / Rectory Lane to Eagle Brow.
A6144 Eagle Brow – The Cross to Brookfield Road.
Bridgewater Street – Eagle Brow to Whitbarrow Road.
Whitbarrow Road – Bridgewater Street to Brookfield Road.

N.B. An alternative route will be available for through traffic via Brookfield Road, Dane Bank Road, Dane Bank Road East and vice versa.

Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the above streets during the hours specified. Any person willfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access to premises will only be permitted under the guidance of the organisers.
Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
