Family create “Little Library” during lockdown

A Grappenhall family kept themselves busy during lockdown over Easter by creating a little library to benefit the local community.

Local potter Jeni Jacques-Williams spent a day building the little library on Victoria Road, Grappenhall with partner Alex and their family Lars, Bryn, Serena and Felicity.
Members of the community have been visiting each day exchanging books, leaving messages and taking one of the hand painted rainbow bookmarks made by Jeni.
Jeni also put up 60 ceramic Easter decorations around the village for an Easter Hunt.
All members of the local community are welcome to visit the little library if they are passing on their daily exercise. There are adults and children’s books and even some for teenagers.
Jenni said: “This has truly been a family effort and we’ve all worked hard today to create our gift to the community.Take a book and leave a book, but please don’t take the hand sanitiser!”
