TWO litterpicking events organised by Stockton Heath Parish Council in connection with the Great British Spring Clean are to go ahead – despite the cold weather.
The first is at Alexandra Park tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am and the second at Ackers Pit at 10am on Sunday.
Clerk to the council Lara Jacob said: “It is forecast to be cold and perhaps a high turnout will not be possible, but if you fancy coming out to pick up a bit of litter for an hour, be assured someone will be there to meet you and provide the equipment needed.”
The parish council is also considering arranging further events in April and will release details nearer the time.
But a litter pick planned by the Cleanup Warrington group for tomorrow has been cancelled because of the weather.
They are now planning a similar event on Saturday March 24 at 10am opposite Westbrook Asda.
