“Take photos of our lovely town” says schoolboy snapper

SCHOOLBOY photographer Adam Hanglin will start the New Year with an invitation from Mayor of Warrington Faisal Rashid – to take pictures at some civic events.

Adam, aged 16, is a student at University Academy Warrington where his love of photography has resulted in him becoming school photographer.

His hobby takes him all over Warrington – which he believes offers plenty of subjects for photography.

He said: “Warrington is such a good place to take photos of. We have great places and loads of history in our town such as Walton Gardens so I can take pictures of Walton Hall , the Golden Gates and the Town Hall.

“The mayor has invited me to some events next year to photograph them for him .”

Adam believes the Manchester Ship Canal also offers good subjects for pictures and has an app on his phone which gives him 30 minutes warning of when the bridges are to be swung so he can get there in time to take a photograph.

He also takes advantage of Warrington’s location half way between Manchester and Liverpool to visit the airports and take photos of aircraft taking off and landing.

His advice to other keen photographers is this: “Get out there and take photos of our lovely town.”
