Training boost for young Wolves

1

THE launch of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme this month presents an exciting opportunity for four of current Warrington Wolves Handball Academy players to study and train as professional athletes over the next two years.
The programme offers young sporting talent the chance to train at an elite level with the England Handball Association while still attending their home college to gain academic qualifications.
It has seen athletes like double Olympic Gold Medallist, Rebecca Addlington benefit without compromising her studies.
Places on the programme are scarce but fortunately Alex Bradley, Aston Lang, Beth Wilbraham and Ste Clarke all meet the requirements to be recognised as some England’s best handball youth.
They are all Warrington Wolves Academy players and are four of only 20 athletes accepted onto the programme.
