WARRINGTON Town’s pre-season continued with a 2-0 victory over 1874 Northwich thanks to goals from Jay McCarten and Connor Millington.
McCarten (pictured top) headed home from a corner in the first half, while Millington, back for his second spell at the club, controlled the ball well after breaking clear and slotted the ball home.
Dylan Glass came close to adding a third but his lob come shot bounced back out off the post.
Manager Shaun Reid used the game to trial a number of new faces in front of a good sized crowd, boosted by a strong following for the new break away North West Counties Northwich club, formed by fans.
Next up for Warrington is the visit of Newcastle Town on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
