Samantha to bid for Miss England title

WARRINGTON’S Samantha Cross will be representing Cheshire at the Miss England Final next month.
She captured the Miss Cheshire title in the finals at the Parr Hall, held in aid of the Variety Club Children’s Charity.
Girls from all over Cheshire competed in the event, sponsored by the Golden Square shopping centre.
There was a four-scene catwalk fashion show, with clothing supplied by stores from the shopping centre.
Samantha, aged 17, (right) a sport and media student from Warrington, won the Miss Cheshire title which will take her into the Miss England contest.
Her prize included shopping vouchers worth £1,200, a handmade crystal crown, £250 cash and a £500 photography portfolio.
Runner-up was Donna Hayes, 23, a teacher, from Widnes while third place went to Jade Pearson, 21, a receptionist from Nantwich.
Fourth place was claimed by Becky Casey, 17, a student from Warrington while fifth place went to Becky Sutton, 16, a student from Ellesmere Port.

n award: Jessica Wilcock, 19, a student from Winsford, who won £1,200 shopping couchers ; Miss Popularity Cheshire: Danielle Britch, 18, a TV extra and dancer from St Helens; Miss Charity Cheshire, Emma-Jane Clarke, 19, (left) a barista from Warrington, who raised £1,000 for charity.
After the show she said: “Being part of the Miss Cheshire Final has been an amazing experience. The whole journey that the competition has taken me through has really helped me grow as a person.
“To have been awarded the title of Miss Charity Cheshire is such an honour and a privilege. It made a wonderful evening into the perfect night and a memory I’ll treasure forever”
