Cllr. Zaman said: “It was such a pleasure attending this brilliant fundraiser, wonderfully hosted by Woolston Monks Sports Club.
“What an atmosphere! I really enjoyed outstanding live music and a fantastic range of food stalls — many with loyal local followings — plus plenty of sporting excitement as amateur rugby teams from across the region battled it out on the pitch.
“There was a great turnout from Warrington and neighbouring towns, and you could truly feel that warm sense of community, friendship and generosity in every corner.
“There really was something for everyone: fun activities and stalls for children, delicious food, live entertainment, and information stands from great organisations including More Than Men, Andy’s Man Club and St Rocco’s Hospice.”
All ticket sales from the event were raised for St Rocco’s — the local hospice providing free specialist care, comfort and practical support to people with life‑limiting illnesses and their families across Warrington, helping through every difficult stage.
Cllr Zaman added: “It was wonderful catching up with so many friends and neighbours — I thoroughly enjoyed being part of this magnificent day.
A massive thank‑you to everyone who organised, sponsored, volunteered, played or simply came along today. Your support truly matters.”
