Urgent call out to town’s hospitality sector preparing to open

AN urgent call out is being sent to the 400 hospitality businesses across Warrington, to gather important information about the reopening of food and alcohol licensed premises.

It follows the recent announcement by the Government confirming further relaxation of the current lockdown restrictions and changes to the licensing laws from July 4.
Warrington Business Improvement District (BID) is working with Warrington Borough Council to make contact with all catering and leisure business, to support them in opening in a safe and secure way for both customers and staff.
Officers are keen to support businesses and to look at how public space can be best used fairly and safely. It is important that any business planning to reopen first check that they are allowed to do so and that they carry out a risk assessment to ensure that they can safely reopen in a Covid-19 secure way.
By completing a quick questionnaire, at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Warringtonpostcovid, businesses can help the council to make informed decisions about potential space allocation and the support required.

Over the coming days, businesses may receive a call from a member of the Warrington BID support team who are helping businesses to complete the survey and gathering information on behalf of Warrington Borough Council.
The information provided within the survey and to the telephone support team will be treated in confidence and will help businesses return to a trading position safely and successfully.
Businesses can also get a range of information and guidance on re-opening safely at warrington.gov.uk/re-opening-businesses-coronavirus-update
