Golf club captains raise money for charity

HIGH Legh Park Golf Club’s captain’s charity golf day takes place on Thursday, August 2 – and will raise money for disability charity Stockdales.
Captains Trevor Pathak and Kath Davies are encouraging players from far and wide to join them on what should be a thoroughly enjoyable day.
Trevor said, “Kath and I have chosen to support Stockdales this year because the charity has been a lifeline to members of both of our families. We wanted to do something to acknowledge this wonderful support. We will be holding several events throughout the year. But our headline event is the captains’ charity day which we hope will raise a substantial amount of money.”
Kath added: “We have already raised over £1,000 at the aptains drive In earlier in the year and we’re looking forward to adding to the success of that. But we can only achieve this by people supporting the event. We hope local golfers will join us at what is one of the highlights in High Legh Park’s calendar. We are lucky to have a beautiful course set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and a delightful clubhouse serving excellent food and drinks. People will be not be disappointed!”
The event will start at 11.30am for lunch with a shotgun start scheduled for 1pm. Dinner, entertainment and the auction will take place from 7pm. Auction prizes include a week’s stay in a luxury chalet on The Warren in Abersoch and a three ball plus lunch at the exclusive Renaissance Golf Club in Edinburgh plus many more. People can enter four players at a cost of £200 per team (members) or £240 per team (non-members). All enquiries to Kath Davies at [email protected] or Brian Allatt at [email protected].
Sale based Stockdales cares for and supports children and adults with learning disabilities and life-limiting conditions. The charity runs four houses providing residential care for people with complex needs.
