A 53-year-old Warrington man was threatened with a knife by two men who knocked on his door in the early hours of the morning.
The pair then stole tools, a television, Queen’s Jubilee coins and the keys to a car before making off.
Police today issued an appeal for information about the aggravated burglary at a house in Watkin Street, Warrington at 1.30am on Saturday, September 24.
The victim answered a knock on his door and was confronted by the two offenders who forced him back into the house and threatened him with a knife.
They then stole a number of items including a Ryobi hammer drill, a Stanley toolbox and a 40 inch Polaroid TV. They also stole a number of Queens Jubilee Coins and the keys to a yellow Nissan Juke. The vehicle was located in Hale Street in Warrington.
Both men were about 5ft 10 inches tall. One was slim, with a gaunt face, dark eyebrows and small dot on his cheek, under his left eye, which looked like a tattoo. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans and dark trainers. He was also wearing cotton gloves with plastic on the fingers. He had a local accent.
The second man had dark hair with a fringe. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, a dark scarf up to the bridge of his nose, blue jeans, dark trainers and gloves. He also spoke with a local accent.
DC Ian Bingley said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about the offence or anyone who saw a yellow Nissan Juke in Hale Street between 2am and 2.30am on September 24.”
