POLICE are warning youngsters of the dangers of using mobile phones to record fights following a disturbance on Midland Way, Warrington.

Numerous Warrington Response patrols responded to a report that a fight was taking place between two
juveniles on Midland Way, with a number of other male and female juveniles present – also that the incident was being filmed on mobile phones.

A police spokesperson said: “Parents, please advise your children regarding the dangers of getting involved in an incident like this – the risks to yourself are too great, you may become involved in a fight that you only turned up to watch, you may find yourself under arrest or injured.

“The top tip for the day is to avoid getting involved in anything similar.

  1. Simple. You are spotted filming and the contestants object. They turn their attentions to you, you fight back, police officer arrives and arrests the lot of you. And quite right too.
