MORE than 100 people turned Warrington neon as they took part in the Neon Night Walk, raising over £11,000 to support hospice care at St. Rocco’s.
Starting and finishing at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, participants embraced the event’s vibrant 80s theme, arriving in colourful fancy-dress, glow accessories, and neon outfits before setting off on a memorable 5k walk through the town centre. Sharon Bannister, PT, led the walkers through an energetic warm-up before they kicked off their walk.
Once walkers got to Bank Park, they were treated to a performance from The Rock Choir, who sang their hearts out and cheered on participants as they walked past.
The event brought together people of all ages, each walking for their own personal reasons. For many, the evening was an opportunity to remember loved ones, celebrate lives, and support the hospice that has cared for so many loved ones across Warrington.
A beautiful lantern display welcomed walkers as they finished the walk, featuring heartfelt messages and dedications to loved ones. The display provided a moment of reflection before participants made every step count in support of hospice care.
After completing the walk, the evening continued with entertainment from a spectacular Whitney Houston tribute act, who sang a collection of her best 80s hits.
