DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist on a busy residential road at Orford on Monday evening.
Shortly before 6pm on Monday 31 August, police were called to reports of an incident on Greenwood Crescent, Warrington.
Police and paramedics attended and on arrival they found there had been a collision between a brown Benelli BKX 125 motorbike and a grey Kia XCeed.
Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, a 29-year-old man from Merseyside, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.
T/Sergeant Rimmer, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.
“Greenwood Crescent is a busy residential road and as part of our investigation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any video footage of the incident.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone with any video footage of the vehicles involved prior to the collision. I would also ask residents to check their doorbell cameras to see if they have any footage which may aid our investigation.”
