A new five-week Buddhist meditation class is coming to Warrington, offering practical techniques to help people manage stress, anxiety and other challenges of modern life.

The course, based on the teachings of Buddhist teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, will explore how developing a more peaceful and positive state of mind can help improve happiness and wellbeing.
Through guided meditations and practical advice, participants will learn simple methods for dealing with difficulties including stress, anxiety, low mood, worry and low self-esteem.
The course will explore the Buddhist teaching that lasting happiness comes not from external circumstances, but from developing a peaceful mind.
Each weekly session will include two guided meditations alongside an accessible talk, with the classes designed to be suitable for both beginners and those with previous meditation experience.

The five-week course will run from Wednesday, September 9, to Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with sessions starting at 7.30pm at The Old Fairfield School, Fairfield Street, Warrington, WA1 3AJ.
