LOCAL residents, creatives, community groups, businesses and visitors are being invited to share their views on culture, arts and heritage in Warrington by taking part in the borough’s Culture, Arts and Heritage Survey 2026.
The survey, launched as part of the development of Warrington’s Cultural Framework, will help identify what cultural activities people value most, what they would like to see more of in the future and what barriers may prevent them from taking part in cultural and creative opportunities.
In recent years, Warrington’s cultural offer has continued to grow and evolve, with an expanding programme of town centre events, festivals and community activities helping to bring more people together and create a vibrant, welcoming place to live, work and visit.

The Culture, Arts and Heritage Survey 2026 will ask participants about the cultural activities they have enjoyed over the last few years, what they would like to see more of in Warrington, and what support or improvements could help them engage more with cultural and creative opportunities in the future.
The findings will help inform Warrington’s Cultural Framework and support the council and its partners in identifying future opportunities to strengthen Warrington’s cultural offer. The results will also help shape a series of aspirational recommendations designed to build on the borough’s existing strengths and support ambitions for Warrington to become a place where culture can continue to thrive for generations to come.
Warrington Borough Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Jean Flaherty, said: “Warrington has a rich and diverse cultural offer, and in recent years we have seen more people enjoying festivals, events, heritage activities, live performances and creative opportunities across the borough.
“As we develop our Cultural Framework, it’s important that the voices of residents, community organisations, artists, businesses and visitors are at the heart of the conversation. We want to understand what people value most, what opportunities they would like to see in the future and how we can make culture more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
“The feedback we receive will help us and our partners identify future opportunities to strengthen and grow Warrington’s cultural offer, while informing ambitious recommendations that will help shape a vibrant cultural future for the borough. I would encourage everyone to complete the survey and help us create a shared vision for culture in Warrington.”
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes a mix of scaled, yes/no and open-ended questions.
To take part in the survey, visit the Culture, Arts and Heritage in Warrington survey page. The closing date for responses is Wednesday 12 August.
