Spring is here and Bents’ Get Gardening weekend is back, with the aim of getting customers planting and pruning, sowing and hoeing, and generally enjoying some green-fingered fun.
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April, Bents Garden & Home will focus on the season ahead, aiming to share the joys of gardening with as wide an audience as possible.
Customers visiting Bents throughout its Get Gardening weekend will enjoy a host of activities, demos and early season offers, all of which will showcase the many ways in which gardening can be both rewarding and accessible, whatever level of experience.
From expert advice and practical demonstrations to inspiration for outdoor living and planting ideas, the weekend is designed to help visitors make the most of their gardens and outdoor spaces as the new season gets underway.
Children can also get involved with ‘Grow Your Own’ activities and a spring themed treasure hunt on both days. A live singer will be keeping customers entertained on Saturday 18th between 10am – 2pm and Dylan’s Reptile Time will be in store on Sunday 19th (10am – 2pm), showcasing some fascinating reptiles and mini beasts.
Says Matthew Bent, Managing Director at Bents Garden & Home: “Our Get Gardening weekend is a great opportunity to promote the many different benefits gardening can bring. It’s a great past time which can not only bring a huge amount of pleasure but is also great way of staying fit and healthy and provides the perfect opportunity for children to get outdoors and discover more about nature and their environment.”
The gardening inspiration continues the following weekend, on Saturday 25th April, as Bents welcomes celebrity gardener David Domoney for a special live Q&A event. Known for his regular appearances on Love Your Garden and This Morning, David will be on hand to answer gardening questions, share seasonal tips and offer expert advice. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both novice and experienced gardeners to gain insight from one of the industry’s most recognisable faces.
This is a free event but requires booking. Tickets will be available soon at bents.co.uk
