Cllr Maureen McLaughlin, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Social Care said: “No Smoking Day is a great opportunity to promote the support we have available here in Warrington for our residents and we want to encourage as many smokers as possible to make a quit attempt.
“With support, people are three times more likely to quit successfully compared to going it alone. Last year, LiveWire supported more than 800 smokers to quit. It can be difficult to stop smoking, but it can be made easier with the right help. A smoke-free life starts with a smoke-free day.”
