A group of local DJs have come together to bring drum and bass back to Warrington with an event taking place at Sankey Street Basement.
After spending years attending drum and bass events across the UK and abroad, the organisers say they often met other ravers from Warrington while travelling. Because of this, they decided to put on an event closer to home and give people something local to attend.
The event Spilt Milk takes place on Saturday 7 February at Sankey Street Basement and will feature a mix of visiting artists and local resident DJs.
Wigman b2b Jade Louiseè will perform a back-to-back set lasting an hour and a half. Azule will also appear on the lineup, described as one of the “Challengers” for tune of the summer.
Louis “The-Don” Cottingham will make his Warrington debut at the event, bringing his selection and scratching to the night.
Also performing is Maver:ck, also known as Michael Duffy, who has more than 20 years of experience. His set will move between styles including donk, bounce and drum and bass.
The night will also feature resident DJs Woody (Chris Wood), Highlander (Graham Raeburn), Ord (Ethan Ord), Deeks (Daniel Kelly), and Amy-Jane (Amy Jane Kearns), with C-red (Jordan Stonier) on the mic.
DJ Amy Jane, who is usually known for house music, will be opening the night with a drum and bass set as part of the lineup.
Tickets are on sale priced at £7. Organisers say tickets are moving quickly and prices will increase at a later date.
