Community Christmas Tree festival at St Mary’s Church, Lymm

THE POPULAR community Christmas Tree festival at St Mary’ Church, Lymm will take place from Friday to Sunday, December 6-8 – and there are already 48 trees promised.

Admission is free and tea, coffee and cake and a range of craft items and homemade produce will be on sale each day.
There will, as usual, be a “mouse hunt” with a priz4e for children who find where the sugar mice are hidden in the tree displays.
The church will be open from 10am -4.30pm on the Friday, with Statham School opening the festival at 10am. Ravenbank School choir will sing at 11am. There will be performance by the Medieval Recorder music group at 12.30pm and Lymm High School Band at 2pm.
On Saturday the church will be open from 10am to 5pm with a Rock Choir performing at 10.30,am, a Ukulele Band at 11.45am, St Mary’s Children’s Choir at 1pm, Susan’s students zt 1.30pm and the Alleycats at 3pm.
Sunday sees a family Advent Service at 10am and the Christmas Tree Festival opening at 11am until 4pm with more entertainment from Lymm and District Chorus.

Rector, the Rev Bev Jameson said “We are all looking forward to seeing you all at St Mary’s for the Christmas Tree Festival this year, which will be a joyous and wonderful way to get into the Christmas Spirit. The entertainment is fantastic and as I am a member of the Rock Choir it is a delight that I will be singing with them.”

· Sunday December 22, 6.30pm Candlelight Carol Service
· December 24 Christmas Eve 4.00pm Christingle Service, 11.30pm Midnight Communion
· December 25 Christmas Day 10.00am Holy Communion
