THIS summer the Stockton Heath Festival is back, with over 50 activities to enjoy for all ages and interests, set to attract 1000s of visitors to the area.

Many events are free to relish along with a tasty snack or a favourite drink in hand.

Between Thursday 30th June and Sunday 3rd July join in the medley of music, art and craft, theatre, dance, dog show and much more. The Festival will celebrate the wonderful diversity of art and culture by showcasing local and national talent, with the community coming together over an extended weekend.

Green spaces and other places

If you like to enjoy green spaces don’t miss the events going on throughout the day and night on the Festival Field. Explore marquees to discover an art class or pottery workshop, Soul Federation, sessions for babies, shows for children, and Schwing vintage band. Open spaces in and around Stockton Heath village are also taking part. In Grappenhall Walled Gardens book early to catch open air theatre with the fantastic Ilyria performing Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Have you ever wanted to find out more about Stockton Heath and its surroundings? Join one of the heritage walks to hear about the village’s history or come to a talk by local historian, Bill Cooke.

Many community venues also come to life throughout the Festival including St Thomas’ Church which will host the Art Exhibition displaying local talent, a wonderful summer musical theatre showcase from students at Priestley College, and the library for poetry, storytelling and more activities to enjoy.
