Parents urged to check up on children as youths break lockdown rules in Lymm village centre

POLICE are urging parents to check up on their children following issues with youths breaching lockdown rules in Lymm village centre at night.

Officers have had to move on groups of youths who are meeting up on Lymm Cross with friends after getting takeaway food.
When questioned the youths claim their parents know they are out.
Urging parents to check up on the whereabouts of their children and to take responsibility police posted on their facebook page: “We are in a Lockdown, you should only be leaving the house for essential reasons only. Unfortunately in chatting to the youths, they are advising that their parents are aware of where they are and what they are doing. We will continue to patrol the village and any groups will continue to be dispersed.”
Meanwhile, police are still receiving reports of vehicles turning up at Lymm High School and around the school and reports of anti-social behaviour.
They will continue to patrol the area.
