WARRINGTON based entrepreneur Trevor Brocklebank has been confirmed as the Chair of Marketing Cheshire, taking over from Angie Robinson.

Trevor joins the Marketing Cheshire board as Chair, alongside his role as Deputy Chair of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) board. Trevor is a renowned business leader, having founded Warrington headquartered Home Instead Senior Care, which is recognised as one of the UK’s leading home care specialists.
Trevor joins the board at a critical time as Marketing Cheshire continues to support businesses in the visitor economy, leisure, hospitality, and tourism sector to respond to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. His appointment will continue the partnership between Cheshire and Warrington LEP and Marketing Cheshire and ensure that place-marketing is at the heart of plans for economic recovery.
He will be succeeding existing Marketing Cheshire Chair Angie Robinson, who has overseen the merger between the LEP and Marketing Cheshire. Applications for further board members to join both the LEP and Marketing Cheshire boards will begin shortly.
Trevor welcomed his new appointment and said: “I am excited to take up the role of Chair at Marketing Cheshire. I was born in Warrington and am passionate about promoting the whole of the region. I will continue Angie’s legacy of working in partnership with the hospitality and visitor sectors, alongside focusing on place-marketing and economic strategy development. I am committed to leading economic recovery over the coming months and want to ensure that Cheshire and Warrington is recognised as a great place to live, work and visit.”
Angie Robinson, outgoing Chair of Marketing Cheshire commented: “I am very proud of my work at Marketing Cheshire. I wish to thank the team for all their hard work and dedication over the years and in particular their response to helping the tourism sector through Covid-19. I am delighted that Trevor has been chosen as my successor and am confident in his ability to lead the future direction of Marketing Cheshire. I wish him every success”
Clare Hayward, MBE DL, Chair of Cheshire and Warrington LEP added: “I would personally like to thank Angie for her dedicated term as Chair and commitment to promoting Cheshire and Warrington. Appointing Trevor to this role shows how important the work of Marketing Cheshire is to the LEP’s vision for a sustainable, inclusive, healthy, and fast-growing economy. I look forward to working with Trevor and all Marketing Cheshire’s partners to build a better future together. Recruitment for further board members to join both the LEP and Marketing Cheshire boards will begin shortly. We are particularly keen to hear from those who want to work with our business networks to lead economic recovery over the months and years ahead.”
