Road rage victims released from hospital after being sprayed with unknown substance

UPDATED: TWO people who were taken to hospital after being sprayed with an unknown substance during a road rage incident at Lymm, have been released with no lasting injuries.

A large emergency service presence, including police, fire and ambulance, was reported in the village on Eagle Brow near the Spread Eagle pub at around 12.30 pm yesterday, Thursday.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson later confirmed: “On Thursday, October 9, police received reports from ambulance crews of a possible road rage incident in Lymm.
“At 12.30 pm it was reported that two individuals were in a vehicle on Eagle Brow when they were involved in a disagreement with the driver of a silver car over a parking space.
“During the incident, the driver of the silver car is reported to have sprayed the two occupants of the other vehicle with an unknown substance.
“They have since been taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police quoting IML-2191559.”
Police have today (Friday) confirmed that the two victims have now been released from hospital with no lasting injuries. Officers will be maintaining high visability in the area for reassurance.
