THE Puddle Project, known for its creative and inclusive work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), has launched a brand-new adult provision service at Warrington – offering a much-needed next step for individuals aged 18 and over.
The service builds on the project’s existing success and responds to the growing demand for meaningful, accessible daytime opportunities for adults with SEND.
Set within the heart of a unique, nature-based facility in Old Alder Lane, Burtonwood, the new provision provides a dynamic mix of life skills development, social engagement, creative workshops, and tailored support – all within a safe and welcoming environment.
General manager Megan Walker said: “Our aim is to bridge the gap between education and adulthood.
“This is more than just a day service – it’s a place where adults with SEND can build friendships, develop confidence, and take part in shaping their own futures.”
From gardening and animal care to sports, arts, and even a newly introduced on-site sports bar designed with accessibility in mind, the adult provision focuses on empowering each individual. Importantly, it also supports families and carers by offering reliable, person-centred support that feels like a natural continuation from school or college.
The new service also strengthens The Puddle Project’s vision of a full age-cycle of care, now spanning from early childhood through to adulthood. With a strong focus on employment pathways, volunteering, and independence.
The Puddle Project’s team – are passionate about creating a fun, safe, and meaningful space where everyone is valued.
