PLANNING chiefs at Warrington are studying an imaginative application for what is described as an elegant coffee shop with a beauty and wellness destination on the upper floor.
The Blind Pig will be an exciting and innovative concept in Cinnamon Lane, Fearnhead, catering primarily for ladies and their friends and providing a welcoming space for afternoon tea and relaxation while awaiting treatments.
Premium teas, coffees, fine wines, champagne, and cold beers will be served along with high-quality sweet and savoury treats, creating a refined and indulgent atmosphere.
The scheme involves a change of use from a tattoo studio.
Planners have been told the Blind Pig will not be a public house but a sophisticated social hub.
It will operate with a strict table-service-only model, ensuring a controlled, relaxing environment with no bar-style drinking. Given that many clients will undergo treatments restricting alcohol consumption, the focus is on responsible hospitality rather than a traditional drinking establishment.
No structural changes have been made. Fire zones, exits, and the existing layout remain unchanged. The building has simply undergone a high-end refurbishment to modernise the space while fully complying with safety regulations.
There will be no customer parking on-site—guests are informed to use the nearby public car park to reduce congestion.
Highly trained staff, including a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) with first aid and conflict management training, will ensure a safe, professional environment.
Collaboration with local businesses strengthens community ties and supports the local economy.
The scheme is being studied by borough council planning officers.
