Charlotte Bond polled 775 votes, Reform’s Carl Knapper polled 745, and local independent Nigel Catlow came third with 636.

Charlotte, 23, lives in Great Sankey and works as a teaching assistant in secondary schools across the local area, often working with youngsters who have complex needs. She graduated in Politics and Internal Relations from Cambridge University. Describing herself as an ‘enthusiastic volunteer’, she is working towards a leadership qualification with Girl Guiding.

  1. Wow! Who put 10p in Mr Bebbington!

Looks to have been a good race among the top three. Let’s hope that the council carries on doing good work in our community.
