Miller Homes Easter collection sees boost for children’s charity

A LARGE donation of Easter Eggs is on its way to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) from Miller Homes’ North West office in Warrington, thanks to a generous collection raised by its team members.

CAFT, based at the Booth Bank Farm, provides a variety of free programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West. The registered charity helps children of all abilities aged 17 and under, who through no fault of their own may miss out on the normalities of childhood.
The farm caters for those with severe physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments and terminal illnesses, through to children who act as carers for a family members, those who have faced bereavement and who have witnessed or been victims of abuse, allowing “kids to be kids” for the day.

The donation of eggs from Miller Homes will go towards supporting the over 2000 children visiting CAFT this year for an Easter-themed day – giving them a treat to take home afterwards.
Clare Noakes, Sales Director for the North West said: “CAFT is a charity that’s close to us both geographically, and in our hearts too. We think the work they do is so wonderful and vital, so we’re eager to support them in our offices whenever we can.”

This is not the first time Miller Homes has worked alongside the charity. The team have also supported at Christmas events and volunteered services in remedial works at the farm in the past.
Alongside this fundraiser within its own office, Miller Homes has also seen the return of its annual North West Easter Egg Drive for Variety, the Children’s Charity this year – which in the past has seen hundreds of eggs donated each year by the builder and visitors to its sales centres. The roundup of chocolate treats this year is expected to take place over the next week.
