Two fire crews tackle fire involving dryer

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a fire started by a dryer at a residential property at Glazebury.

At 16:03 yesterday, Thursday, crews from Birchwood and Leigh were called to reports of a fire at a property on Lowfield Gardens, Glazebury.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a fire involving a dryer.

Crews isolated the electrics and used a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke. There were no reports of any casualties.
