Drug dealer jailed following police raid

A drug dealer who was arrested following a police warrant at his Warrington home has now been jailed.

Ben Whitelock-Wainwright appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 14 March where he was sentenced to four years in prison.
The court heard how officers from Warrington Beat Management Team executed a warrant at an address on Alder Lane at around 11.55am on Tuesday 13 February.
Three people were arrested at the address including Whitelock-Wainwright, who informed officers that there were drugs at the address in a wardrobe and on his bedside table.
The 49-year-old, of Alder Lane, was arrested and during a search if the property officers recovered approximately £6775 in cash and a large quantity of heroin, with an estimated value of around between £11,300 and £13,160.

The investigation was handed over to Warrington Proactive Policing Team and Whitelock-Wainwright, was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin) and possession of criminal property. He subsequently pleaded guilty to the charges at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 14 February.
Following the sentencing Detective Constable Robert Catterall, said: “Illegal drugs can have a devastating impact on not only drug users, but the community around them.
“We are doing all we can to stop drug activity on our streets to make Warrington a safer place to live and visit while also making it extremely difficult for these gangs to operate.
“We will always act on any information about drug activity provided to us and would urge anyone who believes this activity is happening near to them, to please contact Cheshire Police.”
