VILLAGERS turned out in force for the traditional Christmas lights switch on at Stockton Heath on Sunday evening.

Children from St Thomas’ C of E Primary and Stockton Heath Primary Schools entertained members of the public by singing carols around the festive Christmas lights display in Victoria Square, Stockton Heath.

The carol singing was followed by the countdown to the Christmas lights switch on by Stockton Heath Parish Council Chair Cllr. Helen Dutton.

Santa even made a special appearance waving to the crowds from the balcony of the Mulberry Tree pub.
