Due to overall expansion and growth of the business, WatkinsonBlack accountants are looking for a full time Accounts Assistant to join our enthusiastic and fast-paced team.
The ideal Accounts Assistant will thrive in a busy work environment and will need to be comfortable working both individually and with a supportive team. It is a diverse role, where you will be exposed to different accounting functions. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an Accountancy practice, and be AAT qualified or part ACCA.
Key responsibilities:
• Producing accounts for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
• VAT returns
• Self-assessment tax returns
• Corporation tax returns
• Partnership tax returns
• Confirmation statements
• Other duties as required

Key skills required:
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
• Conscientious
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Qualified AAT
• Experience with different accounting packages, preferably IRIS but not essential

• Are you AAT qualified
Salary range:
• Start salary – £25,000 for initial probationary period of 6 months. This to increase to between £26,500 and £negotiable depending on performance and experience.
