COVID-19 infections rates rise in nearly every area of Warrington as hospital inpatient numbers increase from 38-63 in a week

COVID-19 infections have risen in nearly all areas of Warrington according to the latest small area data, with hospital inpatient numbers also increasing from 38-63 in a week.

There were a total of 487 cases week ending June 18 compared to 306 cases in the week ending June 18, compared to 273 the previous week and 127 the week before that.

There have been three COVID-19-related hospital deaths in the past week, while inpatient numbers were up on the previous week from 38-63 while 35 patients have been discharged in the past week.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, June 30 , 2022 compared to Thursday, June 23 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 63 (38) including 0 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 696 – 332.4 per 100,000.

There have been 487  (*306) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 79,181 – 74,261 1st infections, 4,920 second (*78,631) and an infection rate of  232.6 (*146.10) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 199.3 (*147.4) for England. *Total June 23.

  3. I’m not surprised, the majority of people are acting as though it doesn’t exist and generally taking no precautions whatsoever. And this is in the middle of summer, when you expect similar, although less virulent and dangerous, viruses such as the flu to be pretty much non-existent.
