TEDx Warrington is back in the diary

THE organising team of TEDx Warrington is delighted to announce the re-launch of the event next year.

Scheduled for Thursday 23 June 2022, the overall event theme – ‘Build Connection, Strengthen Communities’ – remains the same and is now more important than ever.

In light of events in the past two years though and in the spirit of the TEDx concept, the team wants to make sure the best new “ideas worth sharing” are attracted to the stage. The organising team has therefore decided to open up speaker applications beyond the original topics to allow for talks in two new categories:

‘Diversity and Inclusion’ and ‘Embracing Change’

Kirsty James, TEDx Warrington licensee and curator, commented: “2020 saw me announce excitement that I’d be bringing this global speaking conference phenomenon to my home-town of Warrington. It was followed weeks later by complete disappointment that it had to be postponed – both in 2020 and 2021! But a project doesn’t sit on your event wishlist for years for it not to be pursued”.

The speaker application process opens at 12 noon on Friday 7 January and will run until 12 noon on Wednesday 9 February.

All prior applicants who submitted before the original 8 March 2020 deadline have been emailed with the options open to them as the team stands by their promise to honour and review all previous video submissions.
