FURTHER Education Colleges in Cheshire and Warrington have partnered with leading employers in the construction industry to deliver Advanced Construction Training (ACT).
Warrington & Vale Royal College, Reaseheath College, Cheshire College South & West, Macclesfield College and UTC Warrington are collaborating with employers to develop, commercialise and promote digital technologies and skills training for construction, nuclear and allied industries. The ACT will aim to assist the construction industry to build high-quality, smart, green and efficient building infrastructures.
Logikal Project Intelligence, a global leader in project controls, enhanced business intelligence and BIM (Building Information Modelling) solutions, have partnered with Warrington & Vale Royal College to support the college’s delivery of enhanced digitalised construction training.

UTC Warrington have partnered with Sellafield Ltd, a global centre for nuclear engineering management. Paul Whitworth, Digital Engineering Capability: Assurance & Compliance Lead said: “Sellafield Ltd is embarking on a transformation of its business with clear commitments to digital engineering. I am delighted to support the UTC and the ACT which aligns to our vision that will help provide the right skills that could play a part in transforming the way we work to achieve our commitments of safer, faster and efficient delivery of our mission.
Other partner employers include Cheshire Surveys who are the employer partner for Reaseheath College.
The ACT initiative has received a £260,000 LGF grant from the Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s £5m Skills Fund.
