Woman drink driving suspect arrested after hit and run incident involving two boys at Orford

A 58-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with drink driving and failing to stop following an alleged hit and run incident involving two young boys at Orford on Sunday.

The incident took place on Sunday evening in Capesthorne Road, Orford when the two youngsters were involved in a “minor collision” with a car.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 6pm on Sunday 22 November police were called to reports of a collision on Capesthorne Road, Warrington.
“Officers attended the scene and found that an 11-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy had been involved in a minor collision with a car.
“A 58-year-old woman was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
“Tracey Williams, of Capesthorne Road, Warrington, has since been charged with drink driving and failing to stop after a collision.
“Williams has been released on bail and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday 17 December 2020.
“Both of the boys were checked at the scene by paramedics, they did not require hospital treatment.”
