New Christmas book from Warrington pair

TWO Warringtonians have published a new book which they hope will start a new Christmas tradition for families.

“A Rather Strange Christmas Day” tells the story of how Santa Claus, on his way home from delivering presents, falls off his sleigh and lands in the garden where children are furiously opening their presents.
It has been written in rhyme by Ray Braithwaite, a Warringtonian who now lives on the Isle of Wight, and illustrated by his cousin, Suzanne Campbell, who still lives in Warrington.
The story could be a real tragedy because if Santa doesn’t make it home before the start of Christmas night, the magic of Christmas will be lost forever. But it isn’t – it’s an uplifting story for children aged three and upwards.
“A Rather Strange Christmas Day” continues on from “The Night Before Christmas”, written in 1823 by Clement Clark Moore.
Suzanne and Ray are hoping to start a new family Christmas tradition where parents will read the poem to their children on Christmas morning each year, until their children begin to read it for themselves and their family and then,of course, for chilen of their own. Then, ultimately the children will read it to their grandparents.
The book is on sale via Amazon as an e-book for £2.33p and £5 for the paperback version with free postage when you order two or more copies.
